Dr.
Barnes attended Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. He attended
medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal
Medicine at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital in
Harrisburg. He completed his fellowship training in Hematology
and Medical Oncology at the Pennsylvania State University.
Dr Barnes is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology,
and Medical Oncology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy
of Osteopathic Internists. He is an Associate Clinical Professor
of Medicine at the Pennsylvania State University. He also
is an Adjunct Clinical Faculty Member at both the Philadelphia
College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of the
New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Barnes' clinical
interest include myelodysplasia, and the Lymphomas, myeloproliferative
disorders, testicular cancer, and ovarian cancer. In March
2002, Dr. Barnes was appointed Chief of Oncology for Pinnacle
Health Systems of Harrisburg
